One of the most reliable means to address these tasks is through automatic fire suppression systems. Unlike manual fire suppression systems and operator-controlled systems, automatic fire suppression systems are activated by fire detection systems based on objective indicators. They ensure prompt fire extinguishing without human intervention.Constructively, automatic fire suppression installations consist of reservoirs or other sources filled with the necessary amount of fire extinguishing agent, control and monitoring devices, piping systems, and nozzles or sprinklers. Depending on the type of fire extinguishing agent, fire suppression systems are categorized into water-based, gas-based, powder-based, aerosol-based, and foam-based systems. Each has its own characteristics. Water-based installations are further divided into sprinkler and deluge systems based on their operating principle.

Feed and distribution pipelines with installed sprinklers are located on the object to ensure the necessary irrigation during a fire. The pump station is designed to be compatible with the fire alarm and IFPWS. For the external fire protection water supply, a separate fire extinguishing pump unit is designed.

The Fire Alarm System (FAS) is designed for early detection of fire and signaling to take necessary actions. During a fire, audible and visual alarms are issued to alert personnel on the premises. Fire alarm installations and systems for alerting and managing evacuation during fires must ensure automatic fire detection within the time necessary to activate fire alarm systems to facilitate safe (considering acceptable fire risk) evacuation of people in specific premises conditions. The fire alarm system is one of the most effective systems for protecting buildings and premises, not only minimizing material losses in case of fire but also saving human lives. Fire alarm systems are divided into two types: non-addressable and addressable. Non-addressable systems do not pinpoint the exact location of the fire and are suitable for small premises, such as an office consisting of a few rooms. Addressable systems not only report the fire but also indicate the location where the fire started. Modern addressable systems utilize advanced devices and a modular construction principle, allowing for the creation of complex fire protection schemes.

Fire Alarm and Evacuation Management

Purpose

The Fire Alarm and Evacuation Management System (EMS) is designed to notify individuals within a building (structure) about the occurrence of a fire to facilitate their timely evacuation. Depending on the degree of interaction with other security systems of the facility, the fire alarm system may operate autonomously or be part of a more complex system. The EMS is constructed based on a set of equipment for alerting people about the fire, including loudspeakers and intercom devices, providing both verbal and visual notification methods. In normal operation, the notification system may also be used to transmit background music or verbal announcements, allowing for the monitoring of the operability of notification lines and verbal annunciators.

Fire Protection Automation System (FPAS)

Purpose

Fire Protection Automation System (FPAS) is a set of technical means designed for automatic fire detection, alerting people about it, extinguishing fires, removing hazardous factors, and minimizing the consequences of a fire at a facility. It is intended to receive an alarm signal from the fire alarm system, which is designed to detect, localize, and eliminate fires without human intervention, protecting people, property, and the environment from the effects of fire hazards.

Powder and Gas Fire Suppression System

Purpose

Automatic Powder and Gas Fire Suppression System is designed to detect and extinguish fires at an early stage. The choice of suppression system is determined based on the functional purpose of the premises, the technological processes taking place within it, and in some cases, by regulatory documents. This system is fast-acting and is designed to create an environment that does not support combustion. The gas fire suppression system operates by displacing oxygen with a non-combustible gas, which is pressurized and delivered to the fire source. General-purpose powder is used to extinguish electrical installations, solid, and liquid substances.
